Scoot Scantrons, Clickers are Coming

Wednesday, September, 27, 12-1pm

Fill-in-the-blank questions on exams can better assess student knowledge as opposed to the answer recognition, elimination of answers and/or guessing which can occur in multiple-choice questions. Clickers with alphanumeric capabilities enable posing fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice questions in a machine graded exam. Hence, clickers can make fill-in-the-blank questions a reality even in the largest of classes. This webinar will present the different types of fill-in-the-blank questions that one can ask with alphanumeric clickers and discuss how to convert an exam to a 'clicker' exam.

Shake It Up, Shake It Down - It's Time to Turn Your Classroom Around

Tuesday, October 3rd, 12-1pm

Clickers can efficiently enable you to 'flip' your classroom and also institute a team-based learning environment. Freed up class time can be used to engage students in active (instead of passive) collaborative learning. Discover how to flip your class and use teams to engage in activities that are feasible because of the ease of collecting data with TurningPoint.

You Are Teaching, But Are They Learning?: Using Clickers to Promote the Three C's

The teacher is often the hardest working person in the classroom...and that's not good! In this webinar, Dr. Olsen will share some basic ways to use TurningPoint to help in the three areas where teachers need reinforcement most in order to create powerful learning experiences: classroom culture, content mastery and critical thinking.
