Brief Bio

 Roberto D. Lachica, MD is an Associate Professor for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Plastic Surgery.  He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago in 1992.  He completed Plastic Surgery residency training at UTHSC in 1998.  He was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1998 and recertified in 2006.

Dr. Lachica is a nationally recognized expert in microsurgical reconstruction of the upper and lower extremity.  He has lectured extensively at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Annual Meetings and as a Visiting Professor to other institutions.

He is a Senior Examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery Oral Examination Committee.  His publications appear in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Craniofacial Surgery.
