Biosketch

Ms. Jami Flick graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Health Science and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (OT). She has clinical experience with adult and geriatric clients in acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient, and burn unit; as well as pediatric experience in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and outpatient rehabilitation. Ms. Flick is certified as an AOTA Fieldwork Educator,  DIR Floortime Basic Provider, Level I Provider for the Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS) Feeding Approach, Nurturing Parenting Program Trainer, and Therapeutic Listening Program Provider. She actively serves within the OT department as the Faculty Advisor for the Delta Zeta Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon OT Honor Society and Co-Advisor for the RKS Therapy Center. Ms. Flick is the OT Faculty Senator for the College of Health Professions and currently the Faculty Senate Secretary for 2018-2019. She represented the TN OT Association (TNOTA) as the Alternate Delegate for the AOTA Representative Assembly from 2010-2013. She volunteered as an OT practitioner in the Dominican Republic and Haiti (2009-2012). She is now the clinical education developer for the first-ever Bachelor’s level degree program for OT located in Leogane, Haiti at the Episcopal University (UNEPH-FSRL). She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Heath Science at Nova Southeastern University with an emphasis in global health and dissertation focus on survivor advocate/leader roles within the anti-human trafficking movement.
