Our office exists to serve the academic components of the health science center, providing support for students, faculty and administrators/staff that participate in, or contribute to, our academic programs. This effort is wide-ranging and includes support for students provided by a number of administrative units (e.g. admissions, registrar, financial aid, international affairs) and by units that directly support educational activities (e.g. those in the Library and those providing support within the General Education Building). This office also provides support for faculty by facilitating the appointment/promotion/tenure process, by sponsoring faculty development programs, and by encouraging faculty mentorship. Our goal is to provide leadership and support for the academic enterprise by promoting educational quality and effectiveness, supporting the success of our faculty and facilitating the growth of our academic programs.
